A funeral mass took place July 16 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church for Aurora Blaquera-Lim, 74. She passed away at Jersey Medical Center on July 11 after a brief illness. Born in Manila, Philippines, Aurora was a graduate of the University of the Philippines and was a CPA, following in the footsteps of her father and other family members. Aurora emigrated to the U.S. and Jersey City in 1973 and shortly after began working as an accountant for Panasonic Electronics in Secaucus. She retired in 2000 after 25 years of service. A devout Catholic, she was active at St. Nicholas Church and later at St. John the Baptist church where she was a volunteer and member of the Rosary Society. Aurora is survived by her husband Leonardo M. Lim; her children, Judith Lim-Griggs (William), Terri Lim (Esther Rulo), Tomas (Debra Xu) and Cesar Lim. She was the grandmother of Kaitlyn, Gabrielle, Jaysen and Emily Lim, and an aunt to Geraldo Blaquera and his wife Kathleen and their children, Bryon and Kyler Blaquera.
