Danny McDermott’s WBU fight postponed
North Bergen resident Danny McDermott’s shot at the WBU title, which was to take place on Aug. 12 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Atlanta, Ga., has been postponed after McDermott sustained a bad cut during a sparring fight.
This is the same cut that had opened up last time McDermott fought in North Bergen. McDermott received stitches and will not fight until at least September, sources say.
Although the venue has not been confirmed, it will likely be rescheduled at the Sheraton Meadowlands in East Rutherford, N.J.
