Fix and return street lights

Dear Editor:
I encourage Committee People throughout the City of Jersey City to do what I’m doing right here. Take the problems and issues in your District and report them to City Hall as well as to all the powers that may be. Once you are ignored and you will be, then turn your opinion into Public Information by way of a letter to the editor. It’s Free.
Months ago, a neighbor brought it to my attention that the street light on the utility pole across the street from 23 Nelson Ave had been removed. Why? We don’t know. Surely it could not have been to make the tax payers less safe which it has clearly done. On top of that, the street light that is attached to the utility pole across the street from 31 Nelson Ave. hasn’t worked in a long, long time. Why? We don’t know, but it creates pitch darkness on Nelson Ave, between Bleeker and Congress Streets. To make matters worse, this location is in front of a school, creating an unsafe environment for children and a bad quality of life for all. The tax payers in my District pay a lot of money in taxes per year. They at least deserve street light and not to be continuously left in the dark night in and night out.
