BAYONNE — Friends of Dawid Strucinski raised $25,000 in six hours during a July 7 fundraiser at the Polish American Home on West 22nd Street to help defray the medical costs from his recent beating.
Strucinski, 22, of Bayonne, tried to break up a fight in Bayonne in the early morning hours of July 3 when the attackers allegedly turned on him, leaving him in a coma.
The $25,000 does not include money raised on the website dedicated to him, or future possible corporate matching grants.
