Provident and Kiwanis club show support for local young artists

Jersey City, NJ – To highlight artwork by local high school students, The Provident Bank and Kiwanis Club of Jersey City sponsored the 2011 Jersey City Public Schools’ Annual Art Expo. Artwork was displayed in the lobby of the Loew’s Jersey Theatre in Jersey City from June 8-11 and an awards ceremony and reception was held in the lobby.

The Annual Art Expo recognizes artwork by high school students in Jersey City Public Schools. All general art education students were invited to submit artwork to be judged in various categories, including painting, drawing, mixed media, ceramics, sculpture and graphic design. Prizes were awarded in each category to the 1, 2 and 3 place winners, with an honorable mention for 4 place winners.
