LANDI, ARNOLD R

A funeral mass was offered June 30 at St. Ann’s Church in Hoboken for Arnold R. Landi, 48, formerly of Hoboken and Secaucus. He passed away at the Hamilton Park Hospice Center on June 25, in the presence of his family. Arnold was a conductor with NJ Transit for the past 25 years. An avid athlete, he played football for the Police Athletic League in Hoboken as well as Baseball Little League, and was a member of the Hoboken High School Football Team, graduating in 1980. Arnold was a dedicated coach in Secaucus under the Recreation Department for Football, Basketball, and Baseball. He also served as Vice President of Secaucus Little League from 2000 through 2003. Arnold was also an active member of the Hoboken Elks, who only last week honored him by way of a fundraiser for cancer treatments attended by over 400 people. He will be missed by his two sons: Arnold and Lorenzo; his dedicated parents: Arnold M. and Mary Ann (Salmeri) Landi; his nephew Michael; a aunt and uncle, Jeanette and Albert Maietti; and a host of cousins. He was predeceased by his only sister Ann Landi and his aunt Rita. Services arranged by the Failla Memorial Home, Hoboken.
