The funeral liturgy was said on June 30 at Holy Spirit Church, Union, for Edward Z. Benisz, 82. He passed away June 26 at Manor Care, Mountainside. Born in Jersey City, Mr. Benisz owned Eddies’s Candy Store there for over 30 years until his retirement in 1980 and later moved to Union in 1982. Edward was the brother of Ronald Benisz and his wife Louise. He is also survived by his nieces, Jennifer Halloran her husband Michael and their children Alexandria, Lauren, Michael and Brian, Rachel Benisz, and Stephanie Barrett her husband Edward and their children Michael, Zachary, Julia and Amy.
