Dr. Vaimakis has achieved expertise in laparoscopic gastric bypass as well as the “Lap Band” with over 600 procedures performed. Dr. Vaimakis earned her medical degree from the New York University School of Medicine and completed her residency in general surgery at Saint Vincent’s Hospital and Medical Center in Manhattan. She is fluent in English, Spanish and Greek.
