CARLOMAGNO, PAUL JAMES SR

A funeral mass took place June 10 at St. Joseph’s Church for Paul James Carlomagno, Sr., 64, formerly of Jersey City. He died June 5, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born to the late Guerino Carlomagno and Jean (Keegan) in Jersey City, he lived there most of his life before moving to Union Beach three years ago. Mr. Carlomagno was a plumber for the Housing Authority of the City of Jersey City before moving forward in his career and becoming a Real Estate Engineer for the Division of Real Estate for the City of Jersey City where he worked until his retirement.
He was a member of the Paul Revere Boys Club and an active member of the Knights of Columbus, Bloomfield Council 1178; he also served as a Den Father for the Boy Scouts of America Troops 431 and 432 in Jersey City, New Jersey. Mr. Carlomagno was an avid boxer, swimmer, fisherman and outdoorsman who enjoyed playing the guitar, attending live concerts, watching boxing and spending time with his family and friends. He was the husband of Linda H. Carlomagno; father of Vincent P. and Paul J. Carlomagno Jr.; and grandfather to Paul S. Carlomagno. Mr. Carlomagno was also the father-in-law of Jenniferlee Goldstein and Amelia Carlomagno; the brother of Charles Keegan, and the late Joseph Ristaino and Josephine Krushewsky; brother-in-law of Corrine Ristaino, John Krushewsky, Eileen, Clyde, Roger, Wesley, and the late Buddy Wager; and he will also be remembered as the uncle to many nieces and nephews.
