HOBOKEN — If the mayoral election were held today in Hoboken, who would you vote for? Or is it a bit too early to be worrying about 2013?
And should the mayor spill the beans about the FBI investigation at City Hall?
An opinion poll going around Hoboken this week asked the recipient’s opinion about various politicians in Hoboken – and then asked if we’d be attending the Meadowlands State Fair this year.
Huh?
Then they asked which place has more clowns (just kidding).
Questions included:
-Is Hoboken going in the right direction?
-What is the responder’s opinion of Councilman Michael Russo, Assemblyman Ruben Ramos, developer and politico Frank Raia, Councilman Dave Mello, businessman Mike Novak, Councilman Ravi Bhalla, Mayor Dawn Zimmer, Councilwoman Theresa Castellano, and the City Council as a whole?
-What is your opinion of the job Beth Mason is doing as council president? (She’ll only be the prez another two weeks, though…)
-What about Freeholder Anthony Romano? Ramos? Zimmer?
-Would it make you less likely to support Dawn Zimmer if she endorsed Gov. Christie for re-election?
-Zimmer is “refusing” to inform the public about the reason for the FBI investigation in City Hall. Do you think she should inform the public, or keep it confidential while it’s being investigated?
-Should Hoboken have more affordable housing for seniors?
-Are you planning to attend the State Fair Meadowlands, which opens next week?
(If you’re curious, the correct answers are: Maybe, possibly, sorta, don’t remember, and only if the famous pig races are back this year.)
