11 farmer’s markets in Hudson County; uptown Hoboken location now open

HOBOKEN — Hudson County has 11 farmers’ markets that open for summer, including several in Jersey City and two in Hoboken. The list can be found here.
The newest farmers’ market in Hudson County opened for business again on June 2 and runs through October. The uptown farmers’ market in Hoboken will be open Thursdays from 3 pm to 7:30 pm. (The downtown one opens later this month).
Returning vendors uptown include Ort Farms of Long Valley, NJ, Stony Hill Farms of Chester, and an organic farm, Jeff’s Produce. All the farms are certified ‘Jersey Fresh,’ which ensures the customer is getting the best of locally grown fruits and veggies. Rounding out the veggie selection is Gina’s Bakery of Montclair with freshly baked breads and sweets. Hoboken Farms is a popular stop for a variety of epicurean delights. And surely no one can resist the call of Dr. Pickle, who will happily give customers a sample of any of his briny olives, roasted peppers and pickles.
