Dear Editor:
Hey, Ben Barnes. I had to read your letter multiple times to believe it. Did you say that you were walking around at 2 in the morning????? Damn, I love Hoboken. Do you know how many people are incarcerated in their homes after dark, due to safety measures? I am truly sorry for your noise problem, but I would need more specifics to be really sorry, like when did you move there? Didn’t you figure out that it would be noisy? The hooligans you are talking about are spending money!!!! We would sure hate to see gold card American Express people avoiding Hoboken, due to noise tickets. They are business people, young people who have been courted by Hoboken advertising and etc. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the buck is the boss. I am sure that totally disruptive and/or violent people go to jail, or leave. Laughing, joking and/or music may be uncomfortable for you, but it happens if you want the revenue. Bars cannot control people who leave their establishment. They can only hope that their clientele do not get so lucky that they walk onto the street and scream, “yahoo”, all the way home. Damn – a town where a citizen can walk the streets at 2 in the morning. Wow.
