It’s my party and I’ll head into the wrong apartment if I want to

WEEHAWKEN AND BEYOND — According to Weehawken police, two women apparently stepped out of a party in a luxury waterfront apartment for a smoke break last week, then accidentally entered a stranger’s apartment when they meant to return.
According to a police report, on May 20 at approximately 3 a.m., two women stepped outside of a party in progress at a Riva Pointe residence to smoke cigarettes. Riva Pointe is a luxury development that juts out into the Hudson River.
When the women tried to return to the party, they apparently walked into the wrong apartment and sat down on the couch and continued conversing and laughing.
Awoken by the sounds of laughter, the owner of the home and his wife checked their home and found the two women in their living room.
Startled, all of the parties involved screamed and the two women ran out of the apartment.
According to police, in the morning the man realized his iPhone was missing and reported the incident to police.
After an investigation, police found the owner of the residence where the party took place and he helped them contact the women, who apparently had the phone.
They reportedly returned it without incident, but it is unclear why they took it in the first place.
