HOBOKEN – Chris Nirschel of Hoboken will compete with 14 other finalists for the chance to have his own show on the Food Network.
The competitive show “Food Network Star” premieres on Sunday, June 5 at 9 p.m. on Food Network. The series airs from June 5 to the season finale on Aug. 14.
Nirschel, 28, “matches his vivacious personality to his culinary style, bring bold and intriguing flavors to the kitchen with no recipes at all,” according to a Food Network bio.
The show is hosted by famed chef Bobby Flay, and will also include appearances by Alton Brown, Courteney Cox, Paula Deen, Guy Fieri, and Rachel Ray, according to a release.
“Chris found his passion and focus in life when he attended French Culinary Institute and most recently served as the sous chef at a New York restaurant,” according to a bio.
