The Hudson Reporter is proud to be a co-sponsor in the Hoboken Spring Arts and Music Festival, taking place on Sunday, May 1, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., rain or shine.
The festival will be held on Washington Street between Observer Highway and Seventh Street, and will feature over 300 artists, sculptors, photographers, and craftspeople, as well as rides, games, face painting, local businesses, restaurants, and food vendors.
The event will feature three stages of live music with performances by bands including Ian Hunter and the Rant Band, and The Baseball Project.
Band schedules
The first stage is located on Washington Street between Newark Street and Observer Highway, and the schedule is as follows:
12 p.m. – Davey and Trainwreck
1 p.m. – Bern and the Brights
2 p.m. – The Pretty Babies
3 p.m. – The Baseball Project
4:30 p.m. – Ian Hunter
A second stage is located on Washington Street near Sixth Street.
12:30 p.m. – Bandwidth
1:15 p.m. – New York City School of Rock
1:45 p.m. – Garden Street Music
2:25 p.m. – Goodbye Friday
3:15 p.m. – Gene d Plumber
4 p.m. – Mad Dog Mary
5 p.m. – Frankie Morales and the Mambo of the Times Orchestra
The festival will also include a children’s stage, located in the Capital One Bank parking lot on Third Street.
11:45 a.m. – Hudson Dance & Movements Alice in Wonderland Preview.
12:15 p.m. – Mimi Kids Yoga
12:45 p.m. – Hoboken Dual Language Charter School (HoLa)
1:15 p.m. – Genesis Dance Company.
2 p.m. – The Fuzzy Lemons
3 p.m. – Dawnee from Peanut Butter & Jammin
4 p.m. – The Fuzzy Lemons
5 p.m. – Dawnee from Peanut Butter & Jammin
Other events:
– Fine artists are located between Second and Third streets. The area will include oil paintings, watercolors, acrylics, sculpture, and mixed media art.
– A children’s area on Third Street will have rides, games, creative activities, a puppet show, face painting, clowns, balloons, and live performances.
– The festival will also include great food throughout the area. Hoboken restaurants will set up street cafes offering an eclectic variety of international foods such as: Thai, Indian, Greek, French, Mexican, Cajun and Italian.
