A mass of Christian burial was performed April 16 at St. Aloysius Church, Jersey City, for Edward “Faa” Ford. He passed away April 12. He was 65. A retired Major League baseball scout, Ed served as the assistant director of the Jersey City Department of Recreation and was a popular sports columnist with the Jersey Journal. Ed was predeceased by his parents, Marion and Edward Ford; brothers, Daniel and Francis; sister, Mildred; and nephew Georgie. He is survived by two brothers, Kenny Ford and his wife Nancy and Robert Ford and his wife Susan; two sisters, Margaret and her husband Dwayne Wristen and Mary Beth and her husband George Pascale, nieces, Kerri, Taryn, Tracy and Kristen; nephews, Mark, Timmy and Gregory; and his friend, Anne Marie Costello.
