Question: In high school baseball and softball (N.J. approved), if a player shows signs, symptoms, or actions consistent with a concussion, can he/she be removed from the game by the head coach, athletic trainer, and/or umpire?

Question: Is it legal for a team to use machines/devices that enhance the performance of bats, such as a bat roller/warmer?
Answer: Such equipment will render the bats illegal and are prohibited. Umpires check all available bats prior to pre-game conference, but coaches are expected to verify that all equipment is legal at pre-meeting. (Point of emphasis, Rule 10, Sec. 2, Art. 3)
