NORTH BERGEN — Admist members of the public yelling “shame,” the North Bergen Planning Board approved a controversial 59-unit building by Appleview, LLC after hearing four hours of testimoney from the Galaxy Board’s hired planning expert and from nearby residents.
The project would be built near the Williams Transco Gas Pipeline, which transports 40 percent of New York’s natural gas.
The approval of four variances came with the stipulation of several safety requirements.
