A funeral mass was celebrated March 17 at St. Aedan’s Church for Roland Mansilla Reyes, 69. He passed away March 14 at Jersey City Medical Center. Roland was born in Janiuay, Iloilo, Philippines, and has been a resident of Jersey City for 37 years. He was enlisted in the United States Navy for over 20 years and received numerous awards during his tenure. After he was honorably discharged, he continued to work for the Navy in the Brooklyn Navy Yard before he retired. Roland was the husband of Aguida Reyes for 37 years; father of Rodney Reyes and Robyn Koytroulis and her husband Peter; grandfather of Aliana, KC and Carter; and brother of Nona, Osit, Rosalinda, Ramon Jr., “Bolug” and Wenwen.
