FEDEROV, VERA K

Funeral services took place March 26 at the Orthodox Church of St. Elizabeth, Rocky Hill, for Vera K. Fedorov, 75, of Princeton. She died peacefully surrounded by her family on March 22 at University Medical Center at Princeton. She was battling a severe spinal cord injury for last seven months. Born in Panchevo, Yugoslavia, she resided in Manhattan, Princeton and Sanibel Island, Fla. Vera was living in Berlin during World War II, and immigrated to Manhattan as a young teenager. She received her undergraduate degree from UC Berkeley in the 1950s. After marrying and moving back to the East Coast, she received an advanced degree from Columbia. She was a professor at Douglass College and Rutgers University. In the early 1980s she started her own real estate development business in Hoboken that she ran until she died. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her grandchildren. She was the daughter of the late Nicholas N. and Vera (Pestov) Kovalevski. She is survived by two sons, Victor A. Fedorov, and Mark J. Fedorov; a daughter, Veronica A. Savage; and five grandchildren: Christopher, Serena, Grayson, Grant and Kaylyn. She will be sorely missed by many people whose hearts she touched.
