Dear Editor:
I went to Carlo’s Bakery recently to get some cookies for my block association meeting and I was told I had to stand in line behind a bunch of tourists to get my box of cookies. I asked to see the bouncer and he asked if I was from Hoboken. When I told him I worked in Hoboken but lived for many years in JC, he said “no,” end of line for me.
Needless to say I got my cookies, which were perfectly nice, from somewhere else. I find these crowds very annoying especially as they block the sidewalk, and are not from here. I will patronize Goehring or Rizzo bakeries, or make my own, in the future.
