Dear Editor:
How many more of Hoboken’s best friends need to be carelessly electrocuted in Hoboken by uncovered street lamp posts? When will PSE&G and Hoboken’s Environmental Protection Office do their job and protect our city’s four legged residents. I was outraged to still find three exposed street lamps: at the corner of Washington and 13th Street (south west corner), corner of Washington and 8th (both the north west and south west corners) during my dog’s recent walk at 2pm on Sunday 3/13/11. Per a news brief in the March 3rd Midweek Reporter instructs us to call a provided phone number (201) 420-2049 to advise the Environmental Services Dept of such issues. Not that I expected to find anyone there on a Sunday, but oddly enough to not have an answering machine to leave a message in this day and age? How backwards is our City Hall?
