KEELAN, CATHERINE F

A mass of Christian burial was celebrated March 11 at St. Joseph RC Church, Keyport, for Catherine “Kay” F. Keelan, 84. She passed away March 6 at Meridian Subacute Rehabilitation Center, Wall. She was born in Jersey City to the late Andy and Mae Hopf Milne. She resided there until moving to Hazlet five years ago. She was a homemaker and worked as an operator with New York Telephone, before retiring. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters Court Lucina 186; the Widow and Widowers of Hudson County Chapter; and worked in the St. Aloysius Thrift Shop for over 22 years in Jersey City. Kay was the wife of the late James F. Keelan. She was the mother of Maureen Keelan of Whiting; Judy Ward and husband, Lenny of Hillsborough; Jimmy Keelan and wife, Judi of Wall; Kathy Iannaccone and husband, Michael of Parlin; Drew Keelan and wife, Trish of Hazlet; and Peggy Keelan of Jersey City; sister to George Milne and wife, Pat of Neptune; and Marie Ashkenis and husband, Ray of Whiting; and nana of T.J. and Bryan Keelan; Michael and Danny Iannaccone; Emmet, Kristy and the late Kaitlyn Rose Ward; and Drew Patrick and Breanna Marie Keelan.
