PELLICANO, GENE A

A funeral mass was offered Feb 23 at St. Ann’s R.C. Church in Hoboken for Gene A. Pellicano, 82, of Whiting. She passed away peacefully in Toms River Community Hospital on Feb. 18. Born in Brooklyn, Gene served his country in the United States Army Signal Corp. He was a retired electrical design engineer for the National Broadcasting Company in New York City (Channel 4) for more than 30 years, retiring in 1991. Prior to residing in Whiting, he lived in Brooklyn for some time, and was a former resident of Secaucus for 23 years. He will be sadly missed by his only brother Dominick “Don” Pellicano of Hoboken; a sister, Marie A. Pellicano of Whiting; and a sister-in-law Olga Pellicano. Gene shared a relationship with his niece Donna and her husband Carlos; and two nephews Daniel and Dean, and their wives Judy and Kristy. His great nieces and nephews Daniel, David, Anthony, Christopher, Victoria, and Abigail were all a great joy in his life. Services arranged by the Failla Memorial Home, Hoboken.
