A mass of Christian burial took place Feb. 16 at St. Anne’s Church for Pauline Staranka, 88. She passed away Feb. 12 at Brighton Gardens of Edison. Pauline was a lifelong resident of Jersey City and a longtime communicant of St. Anne’s Church and Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church. She was a member of the Padre Pio Club at St. Anne’s and a volunteer at the annual church festival. Pauline was employed as an assistant accountant for Westinghouse, retiring after 40 years of service. She is survived by her sister Nellie Czochanski and seven nephews and their children and is predeceased by siblings, Eva and William Staranka, Anna Madden and Helen Staran.
