Funeral services were held Feb. 15 for Beatrice Muenze, 94. She passed away at her residence in Union City Feb. 12. She served her country during World War II in the United States Coast Guard. She was born in Springfield, Mass., and lived her earlier years in Bayonne until she settled in Union City over 50 years ago. She was a supervisor for the New York City Telephone Company many years ago. She was predeceased by her husband, the late Howard Muenze and her two sisters, the late Madeline Abels and the late Helen Slootsky. Surviving are six nieces and nephews, Linda Abels, Allan Abels wife Marge, Leonard Abels wife Jane, Scott Slootsky wife Julles, Michael Slootsky wife Georgene, and Linda Bulla husband Robert; seven great nieces and nephews; and five great-great nieces and nephews.
