Uncle and nephew arrested for pot
After Guttenberg Police investigated a car that was allegedly parked illegally, Christopher Sepulveda, 18, Fernando Sepulveda, 55, and Orlando Sepulveda, 59, all of Guttenberg, were arrested when police found what they alleged to be marijuana, ammunition, and pills in their apartment.
According to Capt. Joel Magenheimer, on Feb. 10 at 11:35 a.m. police were dispatched to 70th Street on the report that a black four-door wagon was blocking a loading zone. Officer Michael Meawad researched the vehicle’s license plate and came up with an address on that same street.
Entering the apartment building, the officer detected a “burning” smell, according to reports. North Hudson Regional Fire and Rescue were dispatched and forced entry into the first-floor apartment, where they determined the smell was coming from “burnt cigars” left in garbage bags. No one was home.
Magenheimer said that police noticed the odor of what they allege to have been marijuana in the apartment. Also in plain sight they saw alleged ball-point ammunition and hollowed-out cigars. Police then obtained a search warrant for the rest of the residence.
During the investigation, Christopher and his uncle Orlando returned to their apartment and allegedly asked repeatedly, “I live here; what’s going on?”
Sgt. Juan Barrera arrested them both and later arrested Fernando, who allegedly said he was the owner and resident of the apartment.
Magenheimer said police found more than 50 grams of what police allege to be marijuana in seven large clear plastic bags, a large amount of clear plastic baggies in a sneaker and closet, alleged paraphernalia, alleged burnt marijuana cigarettes, a red electronic scale, and prescribed medication, and one round of alleged handgun ammunition.
The three were charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance over 50 grams, intent to distribute, distributing within 1000 ft of a school, distributing within 500 ft of public housing, paraphernalia, failure to give CDS to the police, conspiracy to distribute, and possession of prescription medication. Their bail was set at $25,000 with a 10 percent bail bond option.

Alleged dog walker/thief busted again
After being arrested last month for allegedly stealing jewelry from the homes of her dog-walking clients, Lindsey M. Paris, 28, of Cliffside Park, was arrested and hit with three additional charges of theft on Feb. 11, according to Commander of the Detective Bureau Lt. Frank Cannella.
Paris was initially arrested on Jan. 24 after she allegedly stole $1,700 in jewelry from a resident of J.F.K. Boulevard East.
Cannella said that their investigation found an additional three victims, which made the total estimated value of the allegedly stolen goods rise in excess of $20,000 for all four victims.
Paris’ bail was set at $10,000 with no 10 percent bail bond option and she was bailed out at about 8 p.m. that same day.
Officially charged
North Bergen Police have officially charged Frederick V. Agodon, 33, of Ridgefield, with robbery, two counts of aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, and unlawful possession of a weapon, on Feb. 16.
Agodon was arrested by Teaneck police last week after allegedly committing robbery at a gas station in that town. He is believed to be responsible for a string of robberies in North Bergen, Little Ferry, Teaneck, and Ridgefield Park.
Agodon allegedly stabbed two North Bergen gas station employees with a 4-inch knife at the Gas and Diesel station at 1008 Tonnelle Ave. at 1:50 am during an attempted robbery on Jan. 6. The cashier, who refused to hand over the money, was treated for stab wounds to the face, while the attendee was stabbed in the chest. The attack was caught on surveillance video and released to the press and other police stations.
North Bergen Police picked him up from Bergen County Jail to charge, fingerprint and photograph him before returning him there. His bail has not been set at this time.
