WEST NEW YORK AND BEYOND– A West New York mother of an autistic child will appear on Thursday’s Dr. Oz show, focusing on the topic of autism.
Parents with children up to the age of 1 year old or who suspect their child is autistic were invited to the “town hall”- style discussion on the disorder that affects 1 in 110 American children.
The West New York resident will appear alongside other parents to voice her concerns and share fears and stories on the topic.
A group of panelists – including the president of the Autism Science Foundation, various authors and pediatricians, and heads of pediatrics from various metro-area hospitals – will join the conversation about autism, giving insight into the risk and importance of early detection and prevention.
The program will also focus on concerns regarding any possible correlation of vaccination and autism.
The show will air on Thursday on Fox Channel 5 at 3 p.m.
