A mass of Christian burial was offered Feb. 4 at Saint Barnabas RC Church, Bayville, for Victor M. Continere, 62, of West New York, Secaucus, and lately Ocean County. He died after a long illness on Feb. 1. He is survived by his wife Mary Ann as well as his former wife and friend, Mary Lou; three children, Karyn Skevakis, Lauren Berrios, and Leann Continere; step-daughter Clare Pilling; step-sons; brother Jerry; sister Marilyn Lenhard; nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Vic graduated from Memorial High School in West New York in1966, and received his education degree from Jersey City State College in 1970, and masters from Seton Hall University. Vic taught art in Ridgefield and West New York and served as an administrator in North Bergen until his retirement in 2005. He also served the youth of West New York and Secaucus as the Director of Programs with the Recreation Departments. Services arranged by the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, Bayville.
