KENNEDY, MADELINE B

A funeral mass was offered Feb. 1 at St. Paul the Apostle Church for Madeline B. Kennedy, 102, affectionately known to all as “Nanny.” She passed away Jan. 29. Madeline was a longtime communicant of St. Paul the Apostle Church as well as a member of St. Paul’s Rosary Society and Senior Citizens. She was employed as a clerk for the Hudson County Violations Bureau, retiring in 1985. Madeline was predeceased by her husband, Robert P. Kennedy and her daughter, Rosemary Woodruff. She was the mother of Madeline Calton and husband, the late Robert and Bernice Colendenski and husband Gus; grandmother of Lynn Anne, Kathleen, Robert, Susan, Eileen, Karen, Patricia, Barbara, Linda, Donna, John and Krisann; and is also survived by 26 great-grandchildren. Madeline was also predeceased by her siblings, Margaret Devlin, Frank and Webster Allen, Mary Iungermann and Elizabeth Fallon. Services arranged by the McLaughlin Funeral Home, Jersey City.
