To the Editor:
On Jan. 12, 2011, we faced our first snowstorm of the new year. Not ending on a great note, statewide, I attempted to go to work Wednesday morning at 4:30 a.m., and it had been snowing all night and pretty heavily.
When I hit the streets, I was very impressed. The streets were drive-able, not that anyone was out, only a lot of plows. I was walking up Broadway, and a truck pulled up to offer me a ride, which was much appreciated. To my surprise, it was our mayor, Mr. Mark Smith, with one of his staff members, out on the streets making sure everyone was okay.
Mr. Mayor, thank you, and to you and your administration, job well done.
