Local resident in MTV show ‘Skins’

HUDSON COUNTY – The British imported hit series “Skins” is a wild ride through the lives of a group of high school friends. A Secaucus resident her entire life, Blaine Morris, 18, has landed the recurring role of lesbian Betty Nardone on the new show, which preimered on MTV this past Monday.
Morris graduated from High Tech High School in 2010, and planned to attend Elon University’s professional Musical Theatre program. Originally she had been part of the Skins writing advisory team, and was asked to audition for the show by the shows creator and head writer Bryan Elsley. After several tough auditions, Blaine was given the part. She appears in the next episode, at 10 p.m. next Monday.
