MARSI, ROSANNE LINDA

A memorial service was held Jan. 6 for Rosanne L. Marsi. She passed away Dec. 20 at home in Hoboken. The eldest of three daughters to Anne and Peter DePalma, she was born into a show business family. She quickly took her beautiful voice to New York City and received a full scholarship to The Julliard School. She continued with her singing career until she met her future husband and bore five children, a feat she considered to be her greatest accomplishment.
Rosanne’s professional life encompassed working as an account manager at several advertising agencies in New York, including Playboy Enterprises. She traveled extensively and owned her own marketing firm, R. Marsi and Associates in Manhattan. Rosanne also worked in the real estate industry in New York and New Jersey and her entrepreneurial spirit never faltered, with the opening of the West End Café in Hoboken in her later years. She was a master chef and decorator, her homes and gardens reflected her love of art and her creativity was unleashed in her paintings and ceramic studio.
Rosanne’s Hoboken roots run deep, born and raised on Bloomfield Street and returned once again to raise her children on Hudson Street.
