Funeral mass was offered Jan. 3 at St. Francis R.C. Church in Hoboken for Giuseppe Buonsanto, 74, formerly of Union City and Hoboken. He passed away surrounded by his family in Hackensack on Dec. 30. Born in Livorno, Italy he emigrated from Molfetta, Italy in 1962. Giuseppe was a property maintenance supervisor at Meadowlands Hospital in Secaucus, and also worked for T&M Construction in Hoboken. He was an active fundraiser for the Unita Society in Union City. Surviving are his wife of more than 50 years, Cosimina; three daughters, Serafina Tubito and her husband Donato, Elizabeth Percentino and her husband Matteo, Josephine Nirchio and her husband Michael; and an only son, Antonio. Giuseppe was a grandfather to Vincenzo, Giuseppe, Francesca, Nico, Joseph, Matteo, Angela, Mina, Lydia, Corey, Joseph, and Makayla; and two great-grandchildren, Adrienne and Joseph. Services arranged by the Failla Memorial Home, Hoboken.
