NORTH BERGEN AND BEYOND – According to North Bergen Police, Ivon Garcia, 39, of 76th Street and North Bergen was last seen at approximately 6 a.m. this morning.
Commander of the Detective Bureau Lt. Frank Cannella said that police have been working on the case for most the day and have yet to be able to locate Garcia, so they are reaching out to the public.
Garcia, who is 5ft, 190 lbs, was last seen leaving her home at approximately 6 a.m. today. Police said that she had been acting strangely over the course of the evening and may have been suffering from some type of dementia.
Garcia was wearing a long brown coat with a fur lined hood, black sweatpants, and black and red Nike sneakers. She was also carrying a black shoulder strap handbag.
Police said that there doesn’t appear to be any foul play at this time and that the investigation is ongoing. She has been entered into the National Crime Information Center as a missing person.
