HUDSON COUNTY — People waiting for commuter buses in Hoboken were often forced to stand in the street, and even a sidewalk in front of the post office at Eighth Street wasn’t shoveled this morning, as residents and workers across Hudson County tried to recover from Sunday’s massive blizzard.
Cars that were abandoned during the storm on Sunday made digging out all the more difficult, including more than 100 cars in Jersey City, according to one news account.
