Monday transit roundup

HUDSON COUNTY AND BEYOND — With treacherous roads facing commuters, more people may be turning to public transportation this Monday morning. However, that may not be a convenient option either. Though most of the snow has passed through Hudson County, high winds are expected for Monday, Dec. 27, according to AccuWeather.com.
As of 8 a.m., PATH train service is only operating from Grove Street to 33rd Street via Hoboken in both directions, and Grove Street to World Trade Center in both directions. The North Jersey Coast and Raritan Valley rail lines are cross-honoring PATH tickets between Newark and New York. For up to the minute PATH updates, click HERE.
New Jersey Rail lines are operating on an enhanced weekend schedule, and all lines are reporting 15 minute delays. To see what time your train runs on an “enhanced weekend schedule”, log onto NJTransit.com, schedule your trip, and instead of today’s date, plug in Jan. 17, 2011 (Martin Luther King Jr. Day) as your travel date.
As of early Monday morning, NJ Transit bus service was still suspended statewide due to the blizzard.
The Hudson-Bergen Light Rail is also suspended, as of early Monday morning. For up to the minute NJ Transit alerts, click HERE.
