Hoboken acquires deed for uptown waterfront park

HOBOKEN – The city of Hoboken has announced that they have acquired the deed for the Maxwell Place Waterfront Park located near 11th and 12th streets after “extensive negotiations and approval from the City Council.”
“I want to thank Community Development Director Brandy Forbes, City Council Quality of Life Subcommittee Chairman Nino Giacchi and members Peter Cunningham and Beth Mason, and the entire City Council for working together to make this happen,” said Mayor Dawn Zimmer in a press release.
The waterfront park was originally opened in 2007. The city closed on the deed transfer on Friday, Dec. 17.
