A funeral mass took place Dec. 10 at Our Lady of Czestochowa R.C Church, Jersey City, for Edward A. Ostrowski, 78, formally of Jersey City. He passed away Dec. 6 at Community Memorial Hospital, Toms River. Edward worked for many years as a pipefitter and welder at Colgate in downtown Jersey City. He was the husband of the late Dolores; father of Alan Ostrowski, Deborah Rakowski, and Donna Ostrowski; grandfather of John Paul, Jacqueline, and Vanessa Rakowski and great-grandfather of John Paul Rakowski Jr. brother of Zygmund Ostrowski, Wanda Brazinski, Ann Carratini, and Millie Kraczewski.
