Police turkey drive continues tradition of giving

Dear Editor:
For over a decade, the Hoboken Police Department P.S.O.A (Police Superior Officers Association) has been helping the less-fortunate citizens of Hoboken by organizing the annual Hoboken Police Turkey Drive. And this year was no different.
On Tuesday, Nov. 23, The Inserra Company (Shop Rite) donated $1,500 worth of turkeys and the P.S.O. A. donated mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy and vegetables that combined to make 100 scrumptious turkey dinners for families from the Hoboken Housing Authority, Applied Housing, seniors from around the city as well as other residents.
We would like to give special thanks to Mary Anne Donahue from Inserra Corporate Headquarters and Store Manager Mark Walker from Hoboken’s own Shop Rite, 900 Madison St., (201) 792-6070.
I’d like to also thank Sergeants Eddie Drishti and Cruz and Patrolmen Willie Collins, Ryan Dimone, Kevin Cooney, Anthony Fesken, Jim Barbro, Jason Falco, Vito Gigante and Dylan Archilla on behalf of the union and myself for all their assistance.

Many thanks,

Sgt. John Petrosino
