Funeral mass was offered Nov. 23 at St. Nicholas Church for Robert G. “Bob” Glasser, 71, of Jersey City. He passed away Nov. 18. Born in Harrison and raised in Nutley, Bob moved to Jersey City when he met and married the love of his life, Lorraine. Bob was a retired Union Painter Foreman for L&L Painting, Local Union DC9, for over 30 years. He loved his family, enjoying every moment spent with them; loved traveling in and restoring classic Volkswagens. He was active in Jersey City baseball and St. Nicholas Church. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew him. Bob was the husband of 39 years of Lorraine (Dubois); father of Robert (and Kim), Brian (JCPD) (and Amie) and Sean; grandfather of Matthew Robert and Olivia Madison; son of the late Fred and Pearl (Dillon); and brother of Joseph (and Pirette), James (and Vera) and Caroline (and Doug Templeton), the late Betty Ann, Dolores and Fred. He is survived by his mother-in-law, Gertrude Dubois; sisters-in-law Sharon (and Jimmy Howell) and Cynthia (and Vinnie Kenny); and a host of family and friends.
