Funeral services took place Nov. 23 at Salem Baptist Church, Jersey City, for Herschell Elizabeth Bugg. She passed away Nov. 18 at The Genesis Health Care Center. She was a longtime resident of Jersey City. Herschell retired as a school teacher from Snyder High School. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church since 1952, song on the Hand Bell Choir, Missionary Board, Grace Senior Center and the Jersey City Belly Dancer Group. Herschell was also a member of the Teacher Associates. Herschell was the daughter to the late John James and Linconia Farmer; mother to Andrew (Tracey) Bugg and Annette (Rev. Chaz) Hines; sister to Sharon, Cassandra and the late Mary and Earline; grandmother to Shawn and Kennedy; aunt to Cynthia, Belinda, Brian and Troy; and also survived by a host many other relatives and friends.
