HOBOKEN AND BEYOND — In a letter to this weekend’s Hoboken Reporter, defeated 4th Ward Council candidate Michael Lenz complained about the state’s new vote-by-mail initiative, saying it’s vulnerable to abuse. In fact, as reported in the newspaper this weekend, the Attorney General’s office has been asked by the county prosecutor to look into 190 vote-by-mail ballots turned in during the recent election.
Assemblywoman Joan Quigley, who helped sponsor the legislation for the ballots, responded to Lenz’s letter in a comment on our website, resulting in responses from critics.
