A funeral mass was offered Nov. 18 at St. Aedan’s Church, Jersey City, for Veronica A. DeSantis, 68. She died Nov. 14 in the Hospice Unit at Beth Israel Medical Center, Newark. Born in Jersey City, the daughter of the late Ann (Close) and Vincent Salerno, she was a bartender for 25 years at the Yale Tavern on Mallory Avenue, Jersey City. She was the mother of Veronica and her husband Paul latella, Anthony DeSantis and his wife Dawn, and the late Joseph DeSantis; grandmother of Ashley, Paulie, Katelyn, Frankie, Alexa, Skyla and Dillon; sister of Eugene, Vincent, Grace, Thomas, John and the late James and Robert Salerno; and aunt of Yvonne, Chrissy, Joseph and Shawn.
