HOBOKEN – After what seems to be an eternity, Pier C Park is open to the public. Well, partially.
On Friday afternoon, children and adults alike oooh’d and aah’d as the promenade and grass areas opened to the public for the first time. The playground area remains closed and fenced off.
“I welcome everyone to come out and enjoy our newest park,” said Mayor Dawn Zimmer in a press release. “The park’s nighttime lighting is impressive, and we invite residents to take an evening stroll.”
The park is open daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
