A funeral mass was celebrated Nov. 1 at St. Anne’s R.C. Church for Violet Mc Kittrick (La Fianza), 93, a lifelong resident of Jersey City. She died Oct. 28. She was an administrative assistant for Hudson County Community College in Jersey City for 10 years before retiring. She was a parishioner of St. John the Baptist R.C. Church in Jersey City and a member of their Rosary Altar Society. She was the wife of the late James A. Sr.; the mother of James A. Jr. and wife Kathleen, Gerard M. and wife Becky, Mrs. Ellen Schworn and husband Daniel, Ms. Violet Ollivier, and Mrs. Gerardette Miland and husband Myron; the grandmother of 12 and the late Louis and Thomas; and the great-grandmother of 24.
