Sires wins another term in 13th Congressional District

HUDSON COUNTY — With over 60 percent of the votes tallied in Hudson County and over 90 percent in Essex, Middlesex, and Union counties, Albio Sires, the incumbent congressman for the 13th District, has been granted another term in office.
Within just a couple of hours of the polls closing, websites for the respective county clerks showed that Sires won an average of over 75 percent of the vote between the four counties. Republican challenger Henrietta Dwyer earned an average of 21 percent of the vote and third party challengers Anthony Zanowic and Maximo Gomez Nacer received 2 percent or less in each county.
