A funeral mass was held Oct. 14 at St. Francis RC Church, Hoboken, for Theodore Charles Baer III of Hoboken. He passed away peacefully at home after a long, heroic battle with ALS. He enjoyed a Wall St. career, beginning as a clerk at Citibank, moving to trading at Lehman Brothers, and culminating as a director in fixed income sales at Credit Swisse. He was also an avid sportsman, having played varsity football at Ohio Wesleyan University, Deerfield Academy in Massachusetts, and Canterbury in Connecticut, as well as volunteering as a coach for the NFL’s Junior Player Development League in New York until his illness. He was the son of Theodore C. Baer Jr. and the late Anne (Gregory); the brother of Gregory Hamilton Baer and wife Felicia (Ambrosino); the husband of the late Laurie; and the father of Marilyn, Elise, and Grace. Services arranged by Lawton-Turso Funeral Home of Hoboken.
