Identity of Thursday morning homicide victim released, memorial page created

WEST NEW YORK – The man shot to death in West New York this morning has been identified as Spencer Hernandez, according to the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office.
Further information about the case remains scarce. Both the Hudson County Prosecutors Office and West New York Police Department have declined to give details at this time, but it is known that the shooting took place in the vicinity of 60th Street and Park Avenue sometime around 3 a.m. Thursday morning.
One website referencing the shooting linked to a Facebook page that has already been created in memory of Hernandez, also identified as “Mack Spenser” on the page.
By Thursday afternoon the memorial page had already garnered over 150 friends.
T-shirts were also listed for sale on the site to help donate money to Hernandez’s family for the funeral.
