A mass of Christian Burial was held Oct. 1 at St. Joseph’s Church, Jersey City, for Thomas Perry Green, 87, a lifelong resident of Jersey City. He died Sept. 27 at the Hartwyck at Edison Estates. He was a Jersey City firefighter, retired after 30 years of service. He was also a US Navy, WW II veteran, serving in the American and European Theaters, and was a recipient of the Victory Medal. He was the husband of Kathleen (O’Hara); the brother of Turner Green; the uncle of Michaeline Green, Celeste Zagarola, Turner Green, Colleen DeMarco, Jean Diamond, and the late Kevin Green; the great-uncle of 17; and the great-great uncle of 11.
